A bright, white smile is a sign of good health and hygiene and can do wonders for self-confidence. A cosmetic dentist can help enhance your smile and boost your confidence with various teeth whitening services. Learn about different types of teeth whitening services offered by cosmetic dentists.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

In-office teeth whitening is an effective way to brighten your teeth in a single visit. Your dentist will apply a strong bleaching gel to your teeth and use a special light to activate the gel and accelerate the bleaching process. The entire procedure can be done in one visit, and you'll see dramatic results right away.

Take-Home Teeth Whitening Kits

Take-home teeth whitening kits are a popular option that many cosmetic dentists offer. These kits contain customized trays that fit over your teeth and a bleaching gel to apply in the trays. Depending on the strength of the gel, you will need to wear the trays for several hours each day for up to two weeks. This option can be more affordable than in-office whitening, but it takes longer to achieve results.

Non-Peroxide Whitening

Non-peroxide whitening is a safe and gentle alternative to traditional teeth whitening methods. This method is perfect for people with sensitive teeth or who prefer a more natural approach. The procedure involves using sodium bicarbonate powder and air pressure to gently remove stains and discoloration from the teeth.

Laser Teeth Whitening

Laser teeth whitening is a highly effective method that uses light energy to penetrate deep into the teeth. The process uses a bleaching gel activated by a laser to remove stubborn stains. It is more expensive than other teeth whitening options, but the results are long-lasting, and you can see a significant difference in the color of your teeth in just one visit.

Internal Teeth Whitening

Internal teeth whitening is used to whiten teeth discolored from the inside due to root canal treatment or trauma. Your cosmetic dentist will place a bleaching agent inside the tooth and seal it up for a few days. This process may need to be repeated several times until your tooth reaches the desired shade.

Having a bright, beautiful smile is a great confidence booster, and many whitening options are available to help you achieve your dream smile. Before deciding on a teeth whitening service, consult a cosmetic dentist to determine which method is best for you based on your specific needs and preferences. With proper maintenance and regular dental check-ups, you can maintain your pearly whites and enjoy a lifetime of confident smiles.

About Me
A New Smile Was the Best Investment of My Life

I grew up in a home with parents who did not insist on good dental hygiene. By the time I was old enough to know better, some damage had already been done. I had many cavities, crooked teeth, and some discoloration on my teeth. I knew it would not be easy to take my smile from where it was to where it is today, but I was determined to finally have nice teeth. I visited a dentist who was very nice and never judged me. We made a dental plan together. Spreading the procedures out over time made it much easier to afford them. I now have almost perfect teeth after all that hard work! I created this blog to help others who have dental problems that stem from bad childhood habits know there is hope! It is never too late to start seeing the dentist!
