2 Ways To Better Teeth

Oscar Allen

You may not have been born with the perfect set of teeth, but you can change this with the use of cosmetic dentistry. There are a variety of dental procedures that can be completed to help improve your smile. The first thing you should consider is what you want to change and if you're an ideal candidate for any of the procedures. Your cosmetic dentist will be able to inform you what will or won't work for you. Knowing some of the methods for making dental changes are ideal for any individual.

Teeth Whitening

Being able to have the whitest teeth possible is sure to get some attention you want and need when out and about town. One of the first things that will be noticed about you is your smile, and this could be the beginning of a good or bad first impression.

The most effective way to get your teeth whiter is by visiting a cosmetic professional and having a whitening procedure completed. This typically can be done in one visit to the office, and it's a painless procedure in the process.

Most dentists will create a custom tray that molds to your teeth and these are filled with high strength whitening gel to get optimal results. In most cases, you may be able to see a color difference immediately. You can expect to pay $500-$700 to have this simple cosmetic procedure completed.

Veneers

If you weren't born with a perfect smile, but you're intent on having one, you may want to opt for veneers. These are porcelain laminates that fit over your existing teeth and work to provide you with more even teeth for a more attractive smile.

The pros of veneers are that these will add an extra level of protection to your existing teeth. Additionally, veneers may last up to ten years and in some cases even longer. The downside for most people when it comes to these procedures is the cost. You can expect to pay $500-$1,100 per tooth, and the chances your dental insurance won't cover this is high.

Changing your smile to one that is more attractive may be the boost you need for more success in life. You're sure to feel better about yourself and have a higher amount of self-confidence in the process. Simply visit your cosmetic dentist of choice to help you find the procedure that will provide you with the best results.

About Me
A New Smile Was the Best Investment of My Life

I grew up in a home with parents who did not insist on good dental hygiene. By the time I was old enough to know better, some damage had already been done. I had many cavities, crooked teeth, and some discoloration on my teeth. I knew it would not be easy to take my smile from where it was to where it is today, but I was determined to finally have nice teeth. I visited a dentist who was very nice and never judged me. We made a dental plan together. Spreading the procedures out over time made it much easier to afford them. I now have almost perfect teeth after all that hard work! I created this blog to help others who have dental problems that stem from bad childhood habits know there is hope! It is never too late to start seeing the dentist!
